Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer or Civil Designer to join the Land group at our Corporate office in Abingdon, Maryland. Hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Develop preliminary design concepts and detailed plans in the areas of site layout, water, sewer mains, roads and storm drain design, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, construction stormwater plans, floodplain studies, and grading plans.
  • Provide assistance to other team members and management in order to accomplish department goals and objectives.
  • Maryland SWM and ESC regulatory experience is a plus.


Requirements:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering
  • Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Civil 3D, HEC-RAS and/or other hydrologic and hydraulic programs a plus
  • Experience with water resources engineering, floodplain analyses, knowledge of wetland delineation, assessments and design a plus
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
